Homemade pesto recipe

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 2/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese



Combine the fresh basil, pine nuts and garlic in a food processor and pulse until chopped coarsely. Add the olive oil and blend until completely infused into the mixture. Then, season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the mixture to a small mixing bowl and add the finely grated parmesan cheese.
