We believe people who care about what they eat deserve to understand where their food comes from. So here is an honest account of how a Glacial Treasure product gets from an Ontario farm to a grocery shelf.

Where possible, we source our birds from Ontario farms. We have a longstanding relationship with Country Poultry Processing in Ontario — a farm run by fifth-generation Mennonite farmers who raise free-run, hormone-free, drug-free chickens fed on a natural diet of corn, barley, and flaxseed. This is the source of our Omega-3 chicken line. For our broader Glacial Treasure range, we prioritize Ontario-raised chicken and support the Buy Local Ontario initiative as a core operating principle.

Processing at Our Toronto Facility

All Glacial Treasure products are processed at our facility at 300 Milliken Blvd, Toronto, ON M1V 4T4. Our facility has been HACCP-certified since 2006 — nearly two decades of documented food safety protocols, third-party audits, and consistent quality control. We’re also CFIA-registered and halal-certified.

The team that works in our facility — under 50 people, most of whom have been with us for years — work alongside members of the Dikeos family. Betty, Alex, Georgia, and Bobby each lead major functions of the business. Five grandchildren of the founders also work in the facility. This is not a hands-off ownership situation. The people whose name is on the product work alongside the people who make it.

IQF Freezing and Packaging

Once products are marinated, seasoned, portioned, and quality-checked, they go through our IQF — Individually Quick Frozen — process. Flash-freezing at peak freshness locks in quality and ensures every piece in the bag is separate and individually frozen. No ice blocks, no clumping, no degradation from partial thaw cycles.

To Your Shelf

From our facility, Glacial Treasure products move through cold chain logistics to retail partners including Fortinos. The cold chain is maintained from our facility door to the grocery freezer — consistent temperature, documented handling, the same food safety standards we apply to every step before it. No mystery. No shortcuts.
