Glacial Treasure Is Coming to Fortinos This June

Something we’ve been working toward for a very long time is finally happening. This June, Glacial Treasure — our premium chicken brand — is arriving on the shelves at Fortinos grocery stores across Ontario.

For most of our thirty-plus years in business, D&D Poultry has operated behind the scenes. We’ve been the supplier behind some of Ontario’s most respected restaurants and the white label producer behind grocery brands you’ve probably bought without knowing we made them. Longo’s. Mark McEwan’s. Others we can’t name. We’ve always been proud of that work — but we’ve always known the day would come when we’d put our own name on the shelf.

That day is June 2026. And the name on the shelf is Glacial Treasure.

What Is Glacial Treasure?

Glacial Treasure is our signature retail line — decades of recipe experience and food manufacturing expertise made specifically for home cooks and grocery shoppers. Every product is made in our HACCP-certified Toronto facility at 300 Milliken Blvd, using Ontario-sourced chicken wherever possible. Our core line is gluten-free, soy-free, and nitrite-free. Everything is individually quick frozen — IQF — so there’s no clumping, no ice crystals, and no waste.

Three Generations Behind Every Product

Kostas and Anastasia Dikeos came from Greece and built D&D Poultry from the ground up. Their four children now lead the business: Betty as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Alex as Project Manager, Georgia as Finance Manager, and Bobby as Production Coordinator. Five grandchildren also work across every part of the operation — from office administration and database systems to pulling warehouse orders, going out on deliveries, and staffing the retail Cash & Carry on weekends. Customers love seeing the youngest Dikeos generation behind the counter.

Glacial Treasure going into Fortinos isn’t just a business milestone. It’s a family milestone. Thirty years of making Ontario’s best chicken, and now finally putting our name on it.

The Five Products Launching at Fortinos

• Chicken Shawarma — slow-marinated in a blend of Middle Eastern spices, IQF frozen and ready to roast or grill
• Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast — clean, bright flavour, boneless and individually portioned
• Shish Tawook — Lebanese-inspired marinated chicken skewers, ready to grill straight from thaw
• Chicken & Pork Souvlaki — a classic Greek-inspired mixed skewer, marinated using the Dikeos family recipe
• Chicken Souvlaki — our signature product, perfected over thirty years by a family that grew up making it

All five products are IQF frozen, ready to cook with minimal prep. Look for the Glacial Treasure packaging in the frozen poultry section at a wide selection of Fortinos locations across Ontario.
