Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast: 10 Ways to Use It This Week

Some products are one-trick. Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast is not one of those. It’s arguably the most versatile item in our Glacial Treasure lineup, and if you buy one package at Fortinos this week, you’ve got the foundation for at least ten different meals.

Here are ten of them.

The Ten Ideas

  • Sheet-pan dinner: bake at 200°C (400°F) with cubed potatoes, red onion, and peppers for 25 minutes
  • Slice cold over a Greek salad with feta, cucumber, tomato, olives, and vinaigrette
  • Chicken Caesar wrap: warm tortilla, sliced chicken, romaine, parmesan, Caesar dressing
  • Grain bowl: sliced chicken over quinoa or rice with roasted vegetables and tahini
  • Chicken sandwich: brioche bun, sliced tomato, lettuce, mayo, and the lemon pepper chicken warm
  • Pasta topping: slice cold over lemon garlic angel hair pasta
  • Chicken tacos: shred cooked chicken, warm tortillas, top with avocado and salsa
  • Rice bowl: sliced over jasmine rice with steamed broccoli and soy-ginger sauce
  • Cold chicken salad sandwich: chop cold chicken, mix with mayo, celery, and dijon
  • Loaded salad plate: chicken, hard-boiled egg, avocado, tomato, cheese, dressing on top

The Base Cook Method

For all ten ideas, cook the chicken breast the same way. Thaw completely. Pan-sear in a lightly oiled pan over medium-high heat for four to five minutes per side, or bake at 200°C (400°F) for 22 to 25 minutes. Internal temperature should hit 74°C (165°F). Let it rest five minutes before slicing.

From there, one cooked breast is enough for two meals for one person, or one meal for two. Buy two or three packages at your Fortinos and you have the week covered.

Available now at Fortinos stores across Ontario. The full range is also at our Cash & Carry at 300 Milliken Blvd.
