SCARBOROUGH – Last week, Agincourt-based production facility D&D Poultry was visited by Francis Drouin, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food. The visit was organized in order to showcase D&D Poultry’s products and facilities, including new freezer equipment obtained partially through federal funding.
“D&D Poultry has been operating as a family business for more than twenty years, “we have always strived to provide the very best products to our customers,” said Betty Dikeos, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for D&D Poultry. “We do that by having the best processes available in our facility and in turn, providing quality products to our clients, government funding goes a long way in making that possible.”
Also attending the tour was Jean Yip, Member of Parliament for Scarborough-Agincourt.
The visit was facilitated by GTA Strategies, a business and government relations firm, who were also vital in D&D Poultry obtaining the funding for this latest development. “Our firm has been working with D&D Poultry for years, but I’ve known the Dikeos family even longer,” commented The Honourable Jim Karygiannis, principal for GTA Strategies and former MP for Scarborough-Agincourt. “They have always put their customers first, and our firm is happy to be a part of that ongoing commitment.”
